Our experience

Founder of MC2 Ventures is Marja Doedens and she has built an enormously broad knowledge and experience in the previous years, both within the financial world and in businesses. With all that, a lot of companies can be helped to make a next step in view of the challenges they already have or are still to get.

In 1981, her career started with NMB (ING) at the Foreign Department: documents, letters of credit and everything else that comes with the transportation - and financing of goods.
Afterwards she targeted on financing of companies. Starting with rather straight financing for trading companies, leisure business, transportation, logistics and heavy metal industries up to and including sophisticated and worldwide financing for international shipyards and shipping companies. From financing of assets and projects to financing of take-over’s and providing equity capacity for companies. Particularly the international shipping – and offshore support business are sectors in which she has a lot of experience.  To broaden her horizon, in 2001 she conducted the restructuring of ING Corporate Clients Wholesale Banking. The attention for - and the opinion of the customers was leading, instead of internal banker’s thoughts. This resulted in the `flower model’ and the appointment of `senior bankers’. This broad and customer-dedicated model is still used now and with success.

In 2003, she became CEO at Trifleet Leasing, an international company in the transport - and logistics sector with establishments on several continents and 3rd tank container leasing company in the world. Trifleet invests in, finances - and lets tank containers for all possible types of raw materials (liquid and gas) for the food – and the chemical industry.
 
In 2005, she was asked by the Vroon Group, a large, worldwide operating and very diverse shipping company, to become CEO at the new Vroon Offshore Services, at that moment a small player in the market. Objective was to develop the company in all aspects, geographical, qualitative and quantitative, to improve the results, to unite the different cultures and to put the company on sub-top level on the map of the international oil, gas and wind offshore support business.

That objective has been accomplished: through autonomous increase and improvement of all aspects of the organization and management, and by means of international take-over’s and joint ventures. Vroon Offshore Services is now the largest division of the Vroon Group.

Beside the direct control of companies, also time and attention was reserved for social administrative functions and non-executive management jobs.
